Sheriff and Jail Records
The Sheriff is the documented county source for current and 48 Hour Release roster entries, jail intake information, and a written request for booking material. Send a Missouri Sunshine Law request to the records custodian with the person’s name, booking date or range, booking number if known, record type, and a request for a cost estimate.
Saline County Sheriff’s Department
1915 W. Arrow St., P.O. Box 366
Marshall, MO 65340
Office: (660) 886-5511
Non-emergency, 24-hour: (660) 886-5512
Fax: (660) 886-5513
Email: scso@salinecountysheriff.com
County government hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; the Sheriff site lists office hours through 4:00 p.m.
Emergency calls go to 911. The jail accepts bonds 24 hours a day, but the county does not publish a processing-time guarantee. A records request is different from jail mail, visitation, or a bond inquiry.
Court and Case Questions
For a public case status or final disposition, use Missouri Case.net first. For Saline County court records or certified-process routing, contact the Circuit Clerk. Court staff cannot provide legal advice, and a public docket is not a substitute for a certified copy.

City Police Record Routing
Marshall Police Department is at 461 W. Arrow Street, Marshall, MO 65340, phone (660) 886-7411. The city’s Sunshine Law form routes a city-held police-record request through the City Clerk. Slater’s public police page directs law-enforcement contact through county communications and Sheriff channels; a city document request goes to the City of Slater clerk.
Sweet Springs Police Department is at 324 S. Miller Street, Sweet Springs, MO 65351, non-emergency (660) 335-6823. Its records instructions prefer sweetspringspolice@gmail.com; they list 324 S. Miller, Sweet Springs, MO 65353, fax (660) 335-4904, and estimate 4–6 weeks depending on the request. The department provides the total cost before payment and does not state a fixed booking-photo price.
Other Custody Systems
A county booking record is not the right place to confirm every custody status. The Missouri DOC Offender Search covers active state offenders and supervision, not every county book-in. The BOP locator and ICE locator cover distinct federal or immigration systems. Contact the agency that owns the record for questions about those results.
